As Director of Partner Relations & Outreach, Alex serves as the primary liaison with colleges and universities and other strategic partners to advance Center for Student Opportunity's mission and programs.

With a background in teaching, Alex has taught English literature to high school juniors and seniors, ESL at an international college, and 5th and 6th grade at a language-immersion charter school in Washington, DC. She provided college counseling to high school students at a charter school in Cambridge, MA and most recently helped to launch the higher education division of the Advisory Board Company, a best-practice research firm in Washington, DC. There she consulted with university leaders across the country, with a focus on improving student retention.

Alex received her A.B from Princeton University and her M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She currently resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband, Rusty.
